The hotel

The Reina Victoria was built in 1906, a Victorian-style building on the edge of Ronda. The centre is about 500 metres away, and some rooms look over the gorge.

The poet Rainer Maria Rilke lived and worked in the building in the early twentieth century. The hotel keeps a small exhibition of his books and belongings.

It has 95 rooms, so your guests can stay where you marry. There is a garden of about 3,000 m² and three function rooms for celebrations, with the hotel's catering.

What we photographed here

We photographed Sara and Vincent's wedding here. They got ready in the hotel rooms, and the ceremony was in the garden under the pines, with an arch of white roses and the Serranía de Ronda behind.

For portraits we walked to the old stone wall at the end of the garden, above the valley. Drinks were on the terrace, and dinner was on the lawn among the palms, under string lights.

Ronda is in the province of Málaga, so there is no travel charge for a wedding here.
