Molino La Flor · Jimera de Líbar, Ronda
On 12 September 2026, Vinnie got ready under the trees at Molino La Flor in a hand-embroidered flower shirt and braces, with his mother in red beside him. Inside the mill house, Pierina's friends opened the cava, took selfies and placed a crown of dried flowers in her hair.
They saw each other first by the Guadiaro river, in the September sun. A few steps away, guests were already sitting on hay bales under garlands of coloured fabric ribbons.
The two of them walked down a terracotta rug aisle together, sat on wooden stools and took off their shoes. Vinnie read his vows, a cord joined their hands, and they walked out laughing under a shower of petals.
Long tables waited among the trees with amber glasses and orange flowers. Friends and family sang to them with a guitar, a band in red sombreros played at their table, and the older guests were first to dance.
In the late light we went down to the river. They sat on the white boulders, then stepped into the water. The night ended barefoot on a sandy dance floor under bunting and string lights.
Ribbons in the trees, bare feet on the grass.
A river, a mill and the whole family singing.
