Hotel Catalonia Reina Victoria · Ronda
We photographed Sara and Vincent's wedding at the Hotel Catalonia Reina Victoria, in Ronda.
Sara and Vincent got the whole wedding into one place. They got ready in their rooms at the Hotel Catalonia Reina Victoria, walked down to the garden for the ceremony and danced without leaving the hotel.
Vincent's friends helped him with his cufflinks by the window, and he waited on a blue velvet sofa. Meanwhile, Sara had her make-up done by Julia Beauty Stylist and read a framed note before putting on her ball gown.
The ceremony was in the garden, under tall pines. White chairs, an arch of white roses and a long table looked straight out over the Serranía de Ronda. Guests waved white paper fans. Sara and Vincent read their vows into a microphone, poured coloured sand together and kissed under the arch.
Then we took them to the edge of the garden. The old stone wall drops away to the valley, and the mountains fill the whole background. Sara's veil caught the wind and flew out behind her. It is one of those places where you only have to wait for the right light.
Drinks were on the terrace, under white parasols. The audio guestbook phone did not stop ringing, and guests queued to record messages with the white hotel behind them.
Dinner was on the lawn, among palms, with string lights hung in front of the white facade. There were toasts at the top table, speeches and a bouquet toss on the stone patio. Fun Music took over in the party room, and the first dance spun under red light.
Pines, white roses and the Serranía de Ronda behind the arch.
A stone wall over the valley, then string lights in front of the hotel.
